    i put a stone on but my control was bad pre pump. i lost it after a few months. as mentioned above by tim, i had lots of hypos so kept eating extra til i had sorted my settings.

    For me morning seems the best part of MDI for me. I am having trouble between 6pm and 10pm, but getting there ! I hated having to imput the numbers, get pump out etc... i could not get on with the meter at all. first the numbers never really agreed with how i felt, and yes the strip port is...

    so pleased you've able to swap to the combo. i was on the 640g for a year, on and off. hated it! was a combo user before that. anyway, after a lot of fighting i was able to swap to the insight. i like it but am still on a pump break as don't think i can ever get used to wearing a pump again...

    No more pumping for now.

    i've tried all medtronic sets, animas ones and accu check ones in my time when i was on the pump. all made me bleed, bruise, feel sore and just not work. got so fed up with it all. MDI is working out much better, at least the insulin has gone in!

    i've found no difference in times of onset when i've used my bum. bum/leg/arm seem about the same. maybe a tad quicker in the tummy.

    Yes, def contact Medtronic to replace. I had to with 3 boxes as they all gave me terrible problems.

    How long did it take to get an replacement insight?

    i reckon you will have it tuesday, will prob send out monday. i had to send my pump to them for repair once, sent thursday and got it back on the tuesday. ring them to gee them up on monday to make sure they send it.
