Hi there all - hope everybody is enjoying our summer - enjoy it whilst we have it. Anyways - I was just wondering if anyone had had a steroid injection and knew how long it lasts in the system. My Levels are all over the shop and my arm pain is returning (ie Steroid injection wearing off) -...

I am off work at the moment as I fell over at the swimming pool and have damaged my right shoulder - which I cannot use at the moment. Am at home, bored, playing silly computer games and unable to craft - am walking daily to keep those pesky levels at an acceptable level Enough of me though -...

    Cramps in the legs

I used to suffer from almost nightly cramp - but (touch wood) have not had cramp in many months. I think what helped me was that I walk almost daily ... I used to always have a tube of Ibuprofen handy (which seemed to help) I think a lot of people get cramps, its not necessarily down to being...

Blood glucose 23.8 type 2 diabetes

That reading is very high - I had to promise the doc that if my reading reached 25 - I would admit myself to the hospital. I was put on 4x metformin and 160 g of Gliclazide when I was diagnosed with similar readings to yours. Do you test regularly - what are your daily readings. Above all -...

Type 1: Hubby won't go to docs

Is there any way you could phone the GP and a nurse come round and check him out (or a GP of course) ... As he has so many things at the moment, they may well do a home visit as they can see from his records that all may not be well Good luck

    Type 2 Life

One of the main things I do, is not to worry too much about fasting blood sugars ... they are just really weird and I don't like to have a bite before bed to try and prevent dawn phenomenon ... Illness is an odd one - I have been ill this afternoon, so perhaps there was already an indication...

    Dizzyness

Did you check your levels? You do need to check. I had a HUGE bowl of porridge about 8 am this morning and had a Metformin pill ... just tested as I am feeling dizzy and shakey .... 4.3 (for me that is a hypo) ... without checking you won't be able to tell for sure. I've just taken jelly...
