New to Metformin - a couple of questions..

In answer to EFL .... if I recall correctly the maximum dose of Metformin is 2500mg / day - 2000mg for the SR form. When I took Metformin the standard tabs played havoc with my guts .... the SR tabs were far kinder :) 'It's a poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word'

    Thanks Forum

Great news .... well done ! Beer was hard for me to give up - but a nice glass of red wine makes a perfectly acceptable substitute without affecting my BS. Cheers ! 'It's a poor mind that can only think of one way to spell a word'

There is a bakery in Bradford that does a nice sourdough rye bread with caraway seed - the Kolos bakery. It's sold in Booths Supermarkets in this part of the world. It's really tasty - freezes well - and works out at 21.6g of carb per 100g They do mail order from their website if you can't...

    Cure with Stem cells available

Hi I can understand you wanting to do anything you can to help your daughter - my heart goes out to you. There are many red flags to these types of treatments ..... not least that they are based in Mexico where the authorities are far more lax in their oversight of these types of companies...

Hi Andy It's early days yet ..... good to hear that you are getting better results even if they aren't quite as you want them yet. I would suggest keeping a diary - track what you eat - when and how hard you exercise ..... and your results as well. If you can see a pattern emerging you might...

    Good news at docters! :)

I couldn't agree more Yorksman. Your doctor will tell you what he has heard ..... and that's what he has heard from the drug companies. If anyone wants to see just how these claims need to be taken with a large pinch of salt should read 'Bad Pharma' by Ben Goldacre .....it makes chilling...

STATIN USERS - QUESTIONS and ANSWERS
