    Steroids

@myarnton1 thank you so much - I have my fingers crossed for you being able to go home to your daughter as soon as possible! Thank you for your words of reassurance, been nice to have someone to speak to - keep in touch! X

    Steroids

@myarnton1 I’m free - I barely had the scale on and so persuaded them I should be allowed to leave thankfully. Yes got my section booked and they say that if an appearance is made earlier the plans of a section can still continue. Did you have a csection last time and if so how did you find it? X

    Steroids

@myarnton1 sorry for some reason I never get alerts on here ‍♀️ Yes, well of sorts I’ve stayed on injections with the sliding scale alongside? I had my second injection this morning so I am hoping to be able to go home this evening all being well. My sugars have raised slightly but nothing too...

    Steroids

Oh I’m on injections as opposed to a pump, but still I guess more or less the same situation. Same as you I’m desperate not to stay too long [emoji85] despite not having a baby at home, I just don’t like being in hospital. Were the steroids generally ok though?

    Novorapid or fiasp

Hi, I’ve done the switch and would definitely recommend it. At one stage my pharmacy couldn’t get the Fiasp for a couple of days so I had to revert to Novorapid and I could absolutely notice the difference. For me, it helps to keep my levels more stable as it is much quicker acting. X

    Steroids

Hi, I’m due to go in on the 2nd for steroids too. How did you get on the first time? I’ve been told at least 24hours - I’m desperately hoping no longer!! X

    First baby/Steroids/reassurance!

Hi everyone, Hope you had a great Christmas. Our first baby is due to arrive in January by caesarean and I’m feeling really anxious about it. I’m such an organised person I think the fact that so much is unknown really worries me. Not necessarily the delivery, but just being having a baby...

    Caesarean vs Induction

Thank you for all of your responses! Baby wasn’t too big at last scan, but I have just read so much about failed induction (I appreciate this doesn’t happen to everyone!), I am just not keen to go through what in effect would be two labours. Plus with my earlier miscarriage they induced me and...

    Bump Size!

@myarnton1 apologies I’ve only just seen your reply. I’m now 30 weeks and at my growth scan they said he was a normal size, so that was a relief. How many weeks are you? Xx

    Bump Size!

@Smallbrit thank you for your reply, it’s nice to hear other people talk from experience. I keep on trying to remind myself that Pippa Middleton looked small and just had a nearly 9lb baby so you can never tell! X

    Bump Size!

Thanks @kitedoc I do talk to my doctors regularly it was just getting some thoughts and reassurance from other Mothers/expectant Mothers with the same experience on here which I thought was what the forum was for?

    Bump Size!

Hi everyone, I suppose I’m just looking for a bit of reassurance. I feel like I have quite a large bump but I’m not sure that’s just because it is what everyone has been telling me...much to my annoyance! “Oh you’re diabetic, you’ll have a big baby” “oh diabetic women always have big babies”...

Struggling With Highs In Early Pregnancy

Hi @FingersCrossed, I recently changed to Fiasp which is a much quicker acting insulin than novorapid and it seems to have made the world of difference - perhaps ask your DSN if that’s an option in your area? Good luck, I know how stressful it is when you’re trying to get levels down xx

    Growth Scan Showing Large Stomach...

Hi Ellie, I don’t have any experience in this, but if the healthcare team aren’t concerned you have to try and relax and trust their judgement-easier said than done I appreciate! I am sure everything will work out absolutely fine, but sending lots of good wishes for you to be sure xx

    Not “feeling” pregnant

@KatriceOrtmeier & @hboyt I totally appreciate what you’re saying, however having been through a loss before if feeling sick means I get a healthy baby I would rather that...I’m not just being weird and wanting to feel unwell for the sake of it haha!

    Blood Tests In First Trimester

Hi, I have a positive blood type however my antibodies screening has shown as positive (which is apparently unusual for people with a positive blood type). I have had more blood taken for further screening, however I just wonder if anyone has had this before and what it has meant for them? I...

    Not “feeling” pregnant

Thank you everyone - this is making me feel better. I just need to remain positive until there is a reason to not be! Xx
