    I love vegetables-just pulled baby carrots, the last of the snowpeas and some small red onions to add to my favorite chopped Asian salad! Will use a soy-vinegarette and add a few dried cranberries! (May have some meat or cheese on the side-maybe not.)

    4.9 this morning and wishing you a very Happy Birthday Liam! My numbers have been good once I finished last course of antibiotics-I just have been very busy and not on the forum very much.

    Thank you-my lows are usually in the 70 to 87mg/dl and very rare-chocolate milk does the trick for me, but just eating would probably work as well as I just take metformin and lantus once a day. I have type 2. I do always keep candy within reach just in case though ; )

    Chocolate milk is my go to for hypos or when I am delayed eating regular meals after taking my glucose lowering medications-if this not available then Pepsi cola or Coke. I have also used Hersey's milk chocolate bar with almonds. I tend to over correct and so the protein of milk or almonds helps...

    Fasting numbers are usually the last to change for people with type 2. I think the just be patient idea is right on track.:)

    I haven't weighted yet but am glad that so many are maintaining. I will weigh now-home scale appears to say 181 lbs-this would be a 1 lb gain but this scale is very unreliable. I will weigh again at the gym tomorrow.
