    I had my vaccination yesterday (I had Pfizer) and noticed my sugars dropping low yesterday evening, even woke at 1am in hypo which I haven’t done in quite a few months. Just wondered if anyone else noticed a low in their sugars after the vaccine?! Thanks

    Hi @sigita I use the DAFNE app to keep track of glucose level readings aswell as carb portions. Carbs and Cals is a really good app aswell to see rough portions and how many carbs are in what you are eating! Xx

    fasting blood tests

    7pm the night before is rather early. And fasting bloods I have been to I have been told to eat or drink nothing after 10pm. Try fasting from later on your next test and you might not feel ill. Glad you was sensible enough to pack some food! Xx

    When I done my dafne course they recommended I do 1/2 and 1/2 of my slow acting and found this helped .y daytime sugars. Give it a try as I think it will give you that little extra boost you need in the day! Xx

    If you are staring to come down since changing your cannula then it could have been a prob with the other one. Check again in an hour and if you still very high tomorrow call the NHS helpline! Hope you feel better soon. X

    If you have changed the cannula twice and your sugars aren't coming down then I would recommend you go to a&e if you don't have a pen with you. Ketones can develop quickly and so you need to get insulin in to you. Are you on your way home or staying away?! X

    @noblehead Yeah I think the 1st few weeks will be the hardest just because of the big change! Yes, I was told to make sure I have it all with me when out and about so I'm prepped for that! Glad to see everyone is really positive about pumping! Xx

    I know it's not gona happen over night, it will take time! I'm writing all my results down aswell as food/carbs so I can look for patterns. I'm lucky that I have a good diabetes team and they are very supportive. All us new pumpers will have fun on this new journey! Xx

    Jan 6th 2010! 7 years Friday just gone was my official diaversary although I did have gestational with both my pregnancies! X
