    Just Diagnosed.

Yes it's wake up call Sansmile and I am glad you are being so positive already! It took me MONTHS to accept and start to deal with it, and mine was just as much out of the blue as yours, so very well done!

    So Here's A Loaded Question!

Sadly I have never been able to have alcohol ... initially because I didn't like it, but then I had a liver infection in my 30's so it was as well that I never took to the stuff!! :D

    So Here's A Loaded Question!

I will definitely be going straight back to my usual way of eating Phoenix55, if only because my actual birthday is meant to be a one off ... and so therefor feel a little 'self indulgent' :) (It wouldn't be special if it continued on)

    So Here's A Loaded Question!

Aww that is sooo sweet to do that for your mum, and I do have her favourite cup here! I don't now eat (or miss) bread but like the idea of the sausage sticks :)

    So Here's A Loaded Question!

Ha ha Resurgam ... I am LIVING on salads these past few months, due to the extreme heat! However I certainly hadn't thought about trifle and feel it to be an excellent idea! I agree wholeheartedly about the taste buds by the way, since I don't have anything sweet apart from a square of 90% Lindt...

    So Here's A Loaded Question!

I am two years and seven months into my diabetic journey, and have lost two stone over that time, bringing my weight to normal levels for my height, and putting my medication (Metformin) to only one per day over the last year. I feel well, eat low carb, and rarely experience my only ever...

    Low Carb On A Budget?

I love those too, and live on huge salads in Summer, alternating between Tuna and Mackeral to serve with them. I disagree about the nuts being expensive though ... as they replace sweets and chocolate which ARE often expensive, and I get through loads of nuts :)

    Fruits

Hi Ivan! I used to have an apple and a banana every day until diagnosed with Type 2 in 2016. I have discovered that I can eat the occasional apple or small banana with just a slight rise in bg levels .. but I choose not to (a) because I don't miss them now and (b) because I really enjoy my...

    Gradual Rise In Bg

Wonderful news and we are all delighted I'm sure that I speak for everyone! We feel so much better, don't we, when we are in control of our health and fitness somewhat? I know it always gives me a lift to see folk making improvements to their well being, just as it makes my own day to see that I...

    Type 2 Anyone Tried This?

Okay ... so I cannot have ice-cream to cool me down in the hot weather ... but I CAN have ice cold plain yogurt, mixed with double cream and yummy sweet British Strawberries and Raspberries! Mmmmm But has anyone tried maybe blending this all together and trying to freeze into ice-cream, as I'm...
