    Oomi noodles

    I prefer the rice to the noodles. They do smell a bit fishy but it goes away when you rinse them in water prior to cooking. Tastes just like normal rice. I get them from Morrisons - bare naked rice and bare naked noodles. Jean

    Doc said no to self testing ...

    I too was told not to test by my dn but after joining the forum and reading about diabetes I decided to ignore her. I've been to the dietician and she told me to test and when I highlighted this to my dn she just said they don't agree with the info dieticians give out.

    Saw DN today and she said my cholesterol was high (4.2) when diagnosed so she wants to put me on statins. Does anyone test their own cholesterol and if so what meter would you recommend. Without any further blood tests being done she has also increased the dose of my glucophage from 500mg to...
