    Pump Thanks

My HBA1C has never been the best, best I got was back when I had my road accident and everything was closely monitored. Anyway, I found out a few weeks ago the my 1C had dropped from 70 to 59 in a month! An effect I give full thanks to Jeff and my libre for. Wasn't till a few days ago that I was...

    Holiday Pump

Got my loan pump from Medronic today for my holiday next week. The email I got said not to take it out of it's packaging unless I need it. But is that the brown box that was delivered? Or is there another box inside that has the pump?

    Upcoming Holidays Abroad

Went through Stansted yesterday and everything went okay. Explained to the staff about the pump, and my libre, showed them my letters and even offered to disconnect briefly so that I could go through the scanner. They said a manual search would be fine. So Stansted seems to be okay, which is...

    Upcoming Holidays Abroad

Thanks will keep on guard for that. I've worked out how many set changes I need for each holiday and will take twice that amount, probably a bit extra for the Crete one. And I'll take my pens as well, just in case

    Upcoming Holidays Abroad

So I've got a couple of holidays coming up; one to Denmark at the end of the month and one to Crete at the end of July. My questions/worries are focused mainly on the airports. I know that my pump, Medtronic 640G, can't go through the x-ray machines or the full body scanners but am I read that...

    One Month one

Just realised it's been about a month since I started on the pump. My doesn't time go quickly? Set changes I've got down to bout ten minutes now and so much more confident with them. My bloods, while still not perfect, are consistently lower then they were previously. Started doing my Basal...

    Feeling really down

I've got my 3rd Pump appointment on tuesday which will look at advanced basal rates if I remember correctly. Will talk to the nurse then. Usually I'm happy adjusting stuff myself but with me bring new to the pump I don't so will wait till tuesday

    Feeling really down

Thanks @Juicyj think it was just having the first threes days go pretty well and then from Friday onwards it's just gone downhill. But you're right I need to try and not get stressed and stop expecting perfection this early in.

    Feeling really down

Going through a rough patch these past couple of days. Did my first set change on friday and everything went well. Since then though I can't seem to get my blood below 10. I know the cannula is okay because my bloods do come down a little but never enough. Inputting all the correct carbs intp my...

    Today is the day!

Awww thanks. Finding it hard to describe how I'm feeling to be honest. But it's a very positive feeling. Went out tonight with my mum and stepmum so expecting my bloods to be a little out of wack for a bit but today has been really good

    Today is the day!

It's going....okay. Yesterday was all fine, cannula went in fine, settings are all inputted. Already got the cannula snagged on the door handle so that was fun, luckily I caught before I pulled it out and all was working fine. This morning woke up with a hypo, 3.5, did myself breakfast and the...

    One week to go

At the moment I'm keeping it just hooked to my waistband of my trousers. Waiting for Medtronic to process my vat exemption form so I can by a case for it. There a few times when I have to adjust it a little, if I'm bending down for example as it digs in a little.
