Keto is not a permanent eating change. it has a lot of issues with doing it long term. if its working for you then fine. I didnt ask for opinions on my diet.

I asked "IS ANYONE ELSE DOING THIS " and all I have got is people slagging me off. If your not doing it then I am not interested.

many reports of long term sucsess. I have been veggie for years so going vegan wasn't a big step for me. Its a bit more than a high fibre low calorie "diet" its an eating plan for life. Its a more sustainable eating plan than yo yo keto.

Thanks I did a bit of studying before and wanted something that is a long term solution rather than an up and down diet. Feeling so much better, sleeping better as well.

    Ozempic

started this 10 days ago. First week constipated, no real change in sugars but a couple of pounds down in weight. Took next one on Friday and had a weekend of stomach cramps and diararea and no change in sugars. Messaged the nurse and was told to stop. Metformin was exactly the same as this and...

just an update on Alogliptin. 5 days in and looking good. I am testing after last meal and first thing in the morning and the levels are steadily reducing. Hi, yes I have cut back on carbs, replacing most things with a low carb alternative. Booze has never been an issue, I don't realy drink and have probably had 4 pints in 3 years. A daily chocolate bar has gone along with the coffee / pastry breakfast. frustratingly it was working for a while then...

Genius David, many thanks the food diary idea is brilliant. As a big fat lad I have always had the first look diagnosis . She wasn't a DN she works for a private health care company who are running this clinic. My surgery doesn't have a diabetic nurse at the moment he left and they are still...

I received a letter from my surgery asking me if I would attend a special diabetes clinic. It was sponsored by Takeda producers of Pioglitazone. This would be run by a private health care company. I was dubious to say the least, as a supporter of the NHS I worried my normal diabetes visits where...

    Sick day rules for Type2s.

Thanks for that. my numbers where pretty constant. I got the throat chest bug that it seems nearly everyone got. it was just before my annual review which returned higher results. I asked if illness affected it and he said no. My surgery are no help at all

    High readings not coming down

I am having real problems maintaining low levels. my numbers have been in the high teens for a week. I am run down with a bit of a cold, it may make a difference as nothing much has changed. I have been averaging 8 and suddenly its gone up to 17. I increased my metaformin despite the stomach...

    Newly diagnosed, scared and confused

I re connected to this forum 10 months after being diagnosed. One thing I have found since then is that you are now not alone. I was giving the diagnosis and a prescription stuffed in my chubby hand and pushed out the door. I have had 10 months of struggle. Doctors and diabetic nurse explained...

I am not going to give you a daily update on my progress. life is depressing enough without me moaning. Anyway I did a mushroom stew with quorn meatballs. I was surprised how low they are. Very nice but made the stock a bit too salty. I had a green shake this morning to try and avoid the cereal...
