    Haven’t been on here for a while!

    Been in hospital recently with DKA honestly was horrific as you could imagine, finally home and doing well now. On a break from the pump for a bit and going to be using pens for a few weeks.

    Cannula insertions

    Does anyone have any issues with where they insert a cannula? Since I’ve had the pump I’ve always used my stomach because the cannulas don’t stay in my leg. I was thinking of trying my back but people say it gets quite uncomfortable.

    Hba1c has gone up slightly. 8.3 now was 8.1 last time. But I know with doing more insulin and more tests I can get back into the 7’s[emoji4].

    I keep getting dizzy and feeling like I’m going to pass out. I was walking around in school and I suddenly just went dizzy and kept swaying from side to side. I felt like I was going to pass out for no reason

    I’m currently 15 years old and still with the children’s paediatrics diabetes team. However I am 16 next year and I know that at the age of 18 I move to the adult clinic when I turn 16 am I still with the children’s or do I move?

    Hypo after hypo

    Hi, So tonight I had a hypo of 3.2 and I treated with 3 glucotabs and I retested still 3.3. Waited again still 3.3. I finally came back up to 4.2 then after 15 minutes to make sure everything is okay I checked. I had dropped to 2.8 so I had 2 more glucotabs and my bloods are now 5.7 Does this...

    Hypo issues

    So if I’m testing my bloods and I’m hypo. I treat with glucose tabs or sweets etc. I retest and I’m still low[emoji849]. Does anyone else take ages to come back up?

    Dangerous hypos

    Hi, my bloods have been good lately however I’m experiencing a lot of hypos 2-3 a day sometimes 4. However I don’t feel them until I test when I had dropped into the 1’s I didn’t even know. I also can’t seem to be bringing them back up for about 45 minutes :( any advice? Megan x
