Tinned chopped tomato with low sugar

Tinned tomatoes have no added sugar in general. The carbs you are seeing are the same as the carbs in fresh produce. Not sure how you are eating Bland the low carb direction tends to be quite interesting. Sadly sugar doesnt cook out, in some cases it makes it a higher GI.

    Tannith's views on reversing T2

@Tannith I appreciate your comment 'I had become really terrified that I would be stuck with T2 for life, and was getting depressed by it.' I think many if not all of us on this thread have had the same emotions. You have chosen a dedicated pathway of weight control and to be honest good on you...

Loving My Freestyle Libra 2 but have 1 problem

I use the Libre 2 (self funded) and connect to it via DiaBox which connects vie Bluetooth with no problems. One issue is that the Libre app has to have alarms turned off to allow a third party Bluetooth connection. Diabox has several alarms which can be set including a rate of change which went...

    Blood pressure check up.

I had my annual on Tuesday morning where my BP read 168/100 something which is normal in the surgery although I am reasonably chilled about going. I then get a form to record a weeks worth (2 in morning, 2 in evening) so far the average is 139/76. So it may be worth taking a few home readings if...

COVID-19: are you wearing a mask?

I am, although the UK GOV spin is that 'evidence is weak' a marginal gain is still a gain so anything against a Virus which kills must be worth it if it is practicable to do so.

Chickpeas and rise in blood sugar

Chick Peas / Humus don't give me much of a rise. Bread however will spike me into double figures, I think that only thinking about the bread would cause a rise. So a chick pea sarnie would be a complete no no for me.

Prof. Roy Taylor - new book - Daily Mail

The serving suggestion for the curry is to serve it with Cauliflower Rice so I guess that is what is pictured as it looks closer to Cauli than normal rice. It's making me hungry :)

    When is Dawn?

This screen dump is probably a better indication of what Dawn is up to as it shows averages of all the days. The 14:00 hrs bump was my body getting used to USA time and starting the phenomena again (I didn't change the times on the Libre).

    When is Dawn?

My alarm clock normally drags me out of slumber around 06:30hrs and I have a couple of cups of tea about half an hour later, but no breakfast.

    When is Dawn?

Although not a massive rise here is a screen dump from one of my Libre reports. It has settled more since low carbing. What I did find also was when I had to spend 10 days working in the USA it 'broke' a cycle of heavy dawn responses (time difference) So there is a way to mess with your body...

    Insulin sensitivity improvement

Wow fantastic results @Goonergal Congratulations. I just jumped over to Medichecks to look at those tests. They say they send a kit out for the sample, is it a fingerprick or a little more exciting? I never thought of getting tested privately as the GP tended to veer me away from further tests.

Type 2s: What was your fasting blood glucose in a morning? (very low chat level)

4.6 This is my fifth week in using a (self funded) freestyle libre it has been amazing at providing information and the trend line certainly keeps me on the low carb wagon as i cringe if it starts to turn northward.

    HbA1c result - so disappointed

Hi @Atad heavy don't be disheartened with the result it is in itself good. There will be natural ups and downs.
