    Diabetes is not a Disease

Hello, I would like to state my opinion on this please. Please note that it is merely my opinion about my condition and as such, should not be considered medical advice. I treat my diabetes as a condition. I go as far as to say, I have an intolerance to certain carbohydrates and amounts of...

    Natural relief for chest infection/bronchitis

Also and slightly off topic, I like to stir an egg yolk into my chicken soup, to make it creamy. This week, and I kid you not, I have had no less than 4, yes, 4 double yolked eggs!! Apparently there is a one in a thousand chance of getting just one. I have had four on the trot now! Must be a...

    Natural relief for chest infection/bronchitis

Thank you everyone for your replies. There have been no "alarming colours" yet and I think it's clearing. My very kind doctor has offered to listen to my chest just in case and with the weekend looming it will put my mind at rest. My partner got me some Robitussin last night, but as...

    Natural relief for chest infection/bronchitis

Thanks, I do normally recover ok, just get a bit paranoid that the coughing stage turns to chest infection. I didn't know about Karvol, but since you mentioned it, I found a plug in thing on Amazon, so I might try that. Am having plenty of chicken soup too.

    Natural relief for chest infection/bronchitis

Hi @AndBreathe , thanks for your reply - Sorry, I should say, chest congestion, its not really an infection as such. Just hoping for some natural remedies for congestion, cough and sore dry throat really - in the past i would have had hot lemon and manuka/honey. Obviously that's not really...

Digestive Enzymes: An Unexpected Diabetes Game Changer

Also, as an aside, a few months back, I experimented with papaya whole fruit and some of its seeds to aid digestion. I have since stopped it for other reasons. However, it helped a bit with digestion and most interestingly, the papaya didn't effect my blood sugar too much. As well as the quest...

Yes @hankjam, the fish is very good from this one, but I leave the batter (never liked it anyway). I miss the chips, my blood sugar does not, however!

    Floater coffees

Does a floater coffee still work without the sugar? Has anyone ever asked for it this way in a bar/restaurant before? I'm guessing they would substitute it with sweetener but I have no idea if the cream still floats or not!

Thought I would share what I ate on Friday: B: 2 boiled eggs and slice of Lidl HP roll, toasted L: NIbbly things - olives, feta, ham etc D: Meal at an Indian restaurant: A few pieces of poppadom with a bit of (very red) onion relish and some of the rather questionable bright green "raita"...
