Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

Thanks for that. Nice to get a positive opinion. As a matter of interest, what if anything do you do to record insulin, carbs, exercise etc? Also, what is the integration between the Dwx1 app and Clarity? I understand that Clarity uploads the data to the cloud, but how does it work? Does Dex1...

Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

I have a starter kit with my name on at my local DSN’s but a starter wouldn’t solve the vagaries of different sensors. I’m sure the rather feature poor software would suffice with some bolton tools if necessary. I don’t really want to start a new regime and find a few sensors in I’m in the same...

Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

Appology accepted;). What I don’t understand is the inconsistency. Surely the ‘mechanics’ of the device should come off a production line identically, so where is the inconsistency? Is it our body reaction maybe? One of the reasons I asked was because with the Dexcom One you can place it on the...

Should I switch L2 to Dexcom?

I’m having a bad week:-( Sensor was due for change Monday 08:00. I always test BG with a finger prick 10 mins before warm up is completed, just to check that the sensor is likely to be working within a working tolerance. My rule-of-thumb is that within 1.0-1.5 is useable. The last two have...

    Dexcom one app compatibility ?

I don’t know if I am dreaming, but I thought I’d read that there were official unapproved apps for just this circumstance. IE Dexcom apps with the validation removed for 'use at your own risk’.

    Juggluco

What I found useful was the two overlay graphs. One is the raw very jagged 1m readings - looks like a mountain range, and if you scan it picks up the smoothed numbers. It does put in perspective the risk of over reacting to the number shown with a quick glance, even on LL. I often see numbers...

    Juggluco

Quite a few people both here and .org.uk. I used it (alongside L2) for well over a year, until L2 went CGM and then I just used L2. The reason, solely because I use ALL the fileds in the Note record, and Juggluco is a bit clunky for extra stuff. Written my a one-man-band in Holland with the...

    Erratic Freestyle Libre2 sensor displays

That is behaving as designed. If your BG is changing quickly the app decides not to calculate a trend value so dispalys — where the current BG should be. If you scan, it tells you to wait, as you have seen. If it can’t accurately predict it will not store any value for you to pick up with a...

    Freestyle Librelink logbook

Does anyone know where the developers for LibreLink are? I somehow suspect they might be in the US, or possibly a couple of steps removed from Abbott, ie India. If it were in a country with a Abbott website presence we might be able to get the fault logged somewhere close to the techs. I feel we...

Observations on Libre CGM, feedback needed

My cycling is now 3 or 4 miles at a time a few times a week. Just to get into town, or other local travel. All in full normal clothes. No punishing 40 milers any more which as you say, are all together different.

Observations on Libre CGM, feedback needed

On a slightly off topic point, you refer to exercise, and as also been mention, exercise can cause BG rises. I think a differentiation between exercise and activity should be drawn. For example I call walking an activity. Many find walking, or easy cycling, maybe gentle swimming are beneficial...

Observations on Libre CGM, feedback needed

I’m no expert in what a T2 or even an ‘non-diabetic’ would look like. Having said that, when talking to my consultant on many occasions over the years, she insists that spikes like that are perfectly normal. Maintaining high levels for long periods is the bad thing. I dream of graphs like that;).

Put the search in quotes eg "hot chocolate". Is that the sort of tip you wanted?;)

Freestyle Libre 2 - constant false signal loss alarms

Hmm, I don't have any idea. Google's Android is IMHO the definitive version, and therefore all apps should work in that environment. As new versions come out, developers who don't take advantage of access to beta versions may get caught out by new features, the 7a has been around a while now...

    Libre2 App

Well I use the full range of fields on the Note, meal, carbs, insulins, exercise, and comments.Anywhere from 6 to 10 a day. I appreciate there are better apps for this, but all in one place is convenient. It all goes up to LV so my endo can see it too.

    Libre2 App

Pre the CGM world, the only way to establish how good you have been was to look at a snap shot of your blood and estimate backwards. Others hopefully will jump in and explain better than me, but basically the calculation makes a judgement based on blood cell life of 90 days and by how old they...
