    I love this prof Tim Noakes video. He is such a charmer to watch and his message is spot-on. He has been a long-term marathon runner and sports medicine academic, but he was diagnosed with type 2 several years ago, whereupon he became a low-carb convert. He has a brilliant mind too!

    I am an Aussie and I'm completely shocked that you fellow type 2's don't get cheap testing strips - in Oz we pay $11 - £7 I think - for 100 strips, no restrictions on how many you use. Good luck with changing the system there, cheers, jools

    Yeah, it does take a few months to settle down those am readings. Also, especially if your body is unused to exercising regularly, you will get high BGLs immediately after, to do with the level of stress hormones the body produces with exercise. Longer & slower is possibly more gentle to start...
