    It’s all gone wrong...!

I've had stress hormones raise my BG by more than 10 MMOL, albeit in a particular situation that put me out of my comfort zone to say the least.

    Fits/seizures

Yeah understand, I'm intelligent enough to know what I feel isn't rational, and not in my best interest, I have an overriding man back to cave instinct.

    Fits/seizures

TBH I've been scared to go back to my GP, hoping to do it this week. the fractures are all self healing, nothing to be reset. I can take the pain of recovery, just the not knowing is killing me, and i'm scared of another s**t health issue.

    Fits/seizures

I've been experiencing a few of these recently, I've been shrugging them off as anomalies, however s**t just got real. I fell down the stairs in the middle of the night and fractured my skull, eye socket, nose, hand, and foot, so all in all not good. I'm terrified it could happen again. Anyone...

    type3c & cycling

Lower your basal is key, especially as you get to 2,3,4 hrs exercise, every year I go snowboarding, and I roughly half it, also reduce significantly for cycling more than an hour. Having a mix of fast acting, and slower release carbs works for me, there is no recipe as such as it's all down to...

Opiate based painkillers were the only gig in town that actually delivered.

    Feeling sorry for myself

With the two bouts of acute pancreatitis I had, morphine was the only friend. I liked it too much though, as I did with Tramadol Hydrochloride.

    pizza :(

Er, dude, I am healthy, just happen to have T1, and enjoy the odd carbs blowout. I don't see it as slow suicide, my BG is under control, I take the right amount of insulin generally, and enjoy a lot of exercise and sports.

Type 1 and adjustments at work

I think it's to make sure that manual workers in particular are given the proper considerations by their employer. Like you diabetes doesn't restrict what I do, but I mainly work from home, and don't do manual work, but if I was I think I'd need to have regular breaks for testing and treatment.

Type 1 and adjustments at work

T1 in UK is classed as disabled, however it's never something I've needed to highlight as we have flexible working. I've just made sure the first aiders in my building know of my condition.

So it's been two and a half years

I managed the BG and insulin ok after the initial diagnosis, nerve damage recovery etc. My mental health has decorated massively in the last year though, suffering from depression, and anxiety.

I see it as a treat and enjoy a large Dominos, but have to take >20 units NovaRapid. Yummy though.
