Cheers @tedlin01, as I said Ive been using it for a wee while now and it is by far the best app I've used for recording everything. Really easy and quick to use. I'm no looking for an app to tell me what to do, but to tell me what I've done. Good work!

I am developing a Diabetes App, help me

Hi @tedlin01 , cheers for the app! Almost exactly what I've been looking for so I can bin all my paper recordings. Simple and quick to use. I say almost as, for me, if you could add notes to the carb intake, as in type of meal, fish and chips, mince and tatties, lasagne etc and log exercise...

    Usual insulin intake

A typical day for me would be around 4 units novorapid for breakfast, 5 for lunch, 13 for dinner and 9 units Lantus at 2130. If it wasn't for the bowl of ice cream with a flake on top every night I could knock 6 off dinner. Only have it if I do an hours bike ride, so make sure I get the bike...

    Type 1: A good HbA1C without hypos?

You can eat a "normal diet" and have a good Hba1c without having hypos. Read "Think like a Pancreas", keep a detailed log you can always refer to, exercise daily and always leave at least 4 hours between carbs and 4 hours between last carbs and bed. I eat the same diet as before diagnosis (...

Type 1: Diabetic nurses - good or bad?

Hi @ChrisM28 . I can only speak as I find and my DN has been absolutely useless. I asked her 3 questions not long after being diagnosed and all her answers were wrong and she spoke to me as if I was an idiot. Although my blood sugars were good she said I was taking far too much insulin, I was on...

Has anyone else seen this 'Appalling' type 2 diabetes advert?

The complaints were mainly from the parents of Type 1 children, as it didn't specify Type 2 diabetes. They were worried about bullying from other children. They now have a wee asterix at the bottom of the screen saying 'Refers to Type 2 Diabetes'

If I don't eat lots of carbs!

We can compare as since carbohydrates have been introduced into their diet, as it was to ours, their, obesity rate, stroke, heart attacks and diabetes rates have all massively increased. I was also including the Yukip and Aluets not just the Inuits.

If I don't eat lots of carbs!

I'm no into all this studying medical research and papers as I don't tend to trust the authors. For me , if the human body depended on carbs then the human race would have died out a long time ago. The eskimos wouldn't have stood a chance as carbs were pretty thin on the ground. No many grass...

T1D No Insulin in a Year Until Now..

Hi @toripf, Jealous of your lack of needing insulin! If you take insulin, or more insulin than you would normally, then keep checking your sugar levels for a few hours afterwards to make sure you don't drop too low. If you start heading too low have some fast acting carbs to correct it. If your...
