Ants surrounding urine - diabetes?

If your father is concerned that he has diabetes then he needs to see his gp asap.

If he wants a quick and rough and ready idea then tell him to taste his urine, if it tastes sweet it is time to go and see the doc.

If it tastes like Chardonnay then bottle it up and sell it on ebay :lol:

Well, maybe you should ask on an ant forum. Sugar in urine would be indicative of diabetes, but how are we supposed to know why ants might go after urine? Sugar? Pheromones? Maybe he just missed and confused their trails?

I'd echo the other voices. See a GP, but it would look like it. The Ancient Greeks used to diagnose diabetes by whether insects were attracted to urine.
