hi I have type 2 diabetes, and was on metformin 3 times a day, but one week I had two hypo's for the first time ever. Quite scary have to say
The doctor then changed my dose to 2 a day, and still took another hypo yesterday.

I eat enough, but dont know whats causing this
Can anyone help?

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
Metformin isn't supposed to cause hypos, but it seems to in some people. What were the actual numbers?
when do you take your Metformin?
In the middle of a meal is supposed to be good.
do you have test strips?
Check after an hour or so after your Metformin. that might reveal the problem

hi lorrie,
when you say your normal reading is 4.7, do you mean first thing in the morning? If so that's extremely good, makes me wonder why you're on medication at all... I (occasionally) take my non-diabetic partner's reading in the morning (well, once in a blue moon) and it's always been around 5.0...
