Good lesson learnt there, @hichamgsm No more bread for you for a while. :arghh:
This is why we say test before and 2 hours after, so you can learn which foods your body can tolerate.

It's not just white bread, other types of grain based bread are just as bad although it may take longer for your BG to rise if they have a lower GI. I have bread made with soya and linseed (flaxseed) which is much better, can you get any non-wheat based bread in Morocco?

I have not tasted it for a week and it also causes problems in my body so I don't need bread

Try the Lidl protein rolls, if you slice them into halves and then pop the halves into the toaster to warm them up, they taste just as good as bread but they don't raise people's bloodsugar. I often don't even have to take insulin to cover those.

Do they have Lidl in Morocco? Perhaps they do.

They freeze well (cut them in half first). They will fill that big hole you have in your freezer now you have got rid of all those fish cakes and whatnot. ;) Totally delicious sliced in half, toasted, with loads of butter melting in. I am addicted. There are about 9g carbs per roll.

In the ABSENSE of carbs, protein can turn to bg. Approx 58%

I use insulin and am very low carb and I need to take insulin for my protein.
It’s called gluconeogenisis
Prot in turns to bg almost as fast as carbs for me. I moderate my protein very carefully. The recommended amount is .8-1 g per kg lean body mass divided into your meals throughout the day.

Looks like you are doing the right things hichamgsm. Just beware of testing while your bloods are higher than normal or you will get an higher reading maybe ?. Keep going and you will have a good healthy list you can chose from for your journey.. Take care.
