Yes, that reading is OK. If your fasting BG goes up, or is higher than other pre-meal readings, please don't worry. Our fasting levels are unpredictable and depend on many other factors than food, most of which we have no control over. Concentrate on your before and after meal levels and get those in range before worrying about your fasting levels. Do keep a written record of all your readings, with your food and any other notes.
