Blood in urine

Hi everyone. I have just been diagnosed with type 2 and my numbers
were 8.7 and 7.6. They are starting me off with diet only first and
am learning about carbs and of which sugars etc. It's going ok but
i have a couple of problems i'm not sure are related or not. For months
now I have been having urinary problems. particularly bleeding. When they
test my urine it has sugar in it and blood but no nitrates or ketones. It is really
uncomfortable and burning in nature. If it's not a proper infection then why
does it feel like one and only anitibiotics work plus copious amounts
of water. Can this be related? The other problem is I have pitting edema,
restless, and pins and needles in my lower legs. Is it not to early to have
these problems? I would appreciate any help on this matter, thankyou.

If you have had this problem for as long as you say the doctor is the only one who can diagnose the reason. Pitting edema can be a symptom of quite a few things as can blood in the urine. If your doctor hasn't diagnosed the problem ask to be referred to the correct specialist who can.
Good luck with finding out the real cause for your problem.
