Desperate as unable to fall asleep until early hours of the morning. After several months of taking synthetic levothyroxine for an underactive thyroid, I became an insomniac and couldnt keep my eyes closed in bed! and again was unable to sleep until 3 or 4 in the morning. When I switched to porcine thyroid tablets, after a few weeks, thankfully my normal sleeping pattern returned.
