hi can anyone clear up an issue for me their seems to be conflicting information regarding letting the Dvla know about us having diabetes. This morning I phoned the Dvla and spoke to a lovely person from the medical department. She informed me that as I am only on tablets I don't have to do anything, only if on insulin you have to let them know.Has anyone else been informed of this?

That is correct, they are only interested if you run the risk of having hypo's. That doesn't normally happen with tablets but is quite common with insulin injections where BS levels can change suddenly.
