Well, that makes me think that when I phoned accuchek and sent a few of mine back for them to look at, that they actually did look at them, and the information that I gave them. I am so glad that I did this 3 months ago, because it makes me feel better that it wasn't me.....and I did get told off I believe from people on here because I put in big fat capitals letters that I had established that it was the sets that we the problems, and got told of for writing...... IT NOT ME!!!!!

AND BOY OH BOY FROM THEIR RECALL, I DEFINITELY KNOW IT WASN'T ME!!!!!!!!

That has made my day....sorry for others that didn't realise what could possibly have being causing problems, but so glad I did and went to the rapid d's.......brilliant that they have recognised there are problems, but feel sorry for all those users now having to get used to the rapid d sets, as they are a totally different way of priming them.......

:D I for one, at least, believed what you said. I have always used flexlinks, due to an allergy tothe steel, but always refused to move the the flexlink plus, because of what you wrote...so thank you saving me the hassel of having to change now! I can imagine it feel good, to be proved right too.

If I didn't have a problem with the rapid Ds...this is what I would use, it is what the clinic recommends that you use...but unfortunaetly they made me itch like mad! Thank good ness for choice eh.

Re: Flexlinkplus re-call

Mind you, I am a bit disappointed to learn that it is only becasue of my lack of super model body that I can use them!

People that can't listen to other people's opinions.
People that can't say sorry.
Re: Flexlinkplus re-call

Sugar2...I'm lean and mean (according to my GP) and I love the 6mm rapid d's, so much more than having to get the inserter out for the flexlinks and plus's. On the plastic cannulas on my stomach I was having so many bad levels and pain and blood, everywhere I put them. My legs are my favourite places.... I just really like the rapid d's and putting them in myself is a whole lot easier than loading those machines and firing them. I wish I had a bit more super model body, as long as the weight didn't shift to my bum and legs.

Will be interesting to see what happens with their recalls....

I have e-mailed Accu-Chek about this so will have to await a response.

Finally this morning Monday 28/02/2011 we have had a response from Roche about this matter which has scant details but confirms the previous post from the OP is correct :

Dear Ken,

Thank you for your email. All of our patients should receive a letter tomorrow about the recall of the Flexlink Plus. This will explain all the details and any further action they need to take. This only applies to Flexlink plus and does not affect any of our other infusion sets.

Kind Regards

My letter arrived a day later than promised by Mr Sweet and without the promised SAE to return the portion they wanted back to confirm that I'd received it.

I also got mine, however it didnt state what to do with any you have at home so i called and they're sending me a bag to send them back in, and was advised to keep the flexlink assist as the re-call hasn't been decided as permanent, but personally i won't be returning to the flex link plus.

Anyone know what the latest is on this? Have they worked out what the problem is, and when they'll be sent out again?

I had inexplicable highs on the Flexlink Plus and all mine were recalled. The regular Flexlink that they've replaced them with are much better, fortunately. But there's limited stock...

Anyone know what the latest on this is? Because they're still running low on stocks of the regular Flex Link equipment...

Really, thought this was resolved last year and I've been on these for some time now and had no problems getting supplies. Last delivery was only about a week ago when I was delivered 3 months worth of kit.
