Headaches with insulin?

New to insulin for a week now (novirapid & Levimir) and just wondered if it is a coincidence or can insulin trigger headaches, about 30mins after injecting i get a funny dull headache and a few times it got quite bad. Now i'm guessing it could be the stress or just that my body is new to the drug but does any one else get headaches after injecting?

Thanks

Littlesis

Hi Littlesis :) I'm not an insulin user myself but wonder if you might find the answer is on the Diabetes and Drug Forum if you have a read under the titles of Novorapid and Levemir:

Yup. I've had a few headaches after injecting Insulatard recently. They feel like the headaches I used to get as a teenager (pre-diagnosis).

Littlesis,

It may well be that one or both insulin's are not agreeing with you and hence why you have the headaches, if you sure this is related to the insulin then I suggest you speak with your DSN and explain to him/her about these headaches, rest assured there are alternatives available.
