As most of you know I need a challenge to help control my blood sugars and feel well.

Apologies to those who are bored with my posts but it works for me.

This new challenge is 30 minutes activity a day . The twist is that you can carry 10 minutes over and once you have 30 minutes carried over you can have a day off or do a bit less .
No more than 10 minutes a day though and only 1 day off a week.

If you want to join me then I'm happy to have you along .

Ok. I walked round farmers' market today, 35 mins.

Didn't feel like it, but sun was shining and I did buy some cheese and mushrooms. Walking not my thing.

I'm still trying to walk 40 minutes per day although some days, like today, it's not as purposeful a walk as I would like. That said,my Fitbit say I've managed just under 10k paces with 46 active minutes so far today.

OK I'm in, but I might be building up a deficit at times this week ...

Hey, @julifriend, still walking during lunchbreaks?

@Pipp Yes, I'm still trying to get out every lunchtime. Now and then the weather gets the better of me and, on the odd occasion, work intervenes but I still manage to get out probably 19 out of 20 days. I also try to walk around 90 minutes per day on Saturdays and Sundays. Most weeks I manage around 35 miles in total according to my FitBit which helps.

I'd like to join, please! 15 mins on the exercise bike today, plus a leisurely walk of about half an hour.

Walked to work today, and although it was mostly downhill, it still took me about 30 minutes as I took a wrong turn! :D

Did 50 kettlebell swings at home.

Love walking :) I have a four year old Labrador and a terrier of indeterminate age ( rescued ) , we walk together every day . Started long walks post diagnosis in 2009 , I`m sure it helped to keep me off meds along with low carb diet . I`m almost 68 years young :arghh: my husband is disabled and wheelchair bound , so the dog walking is down to me but I love it . Am lucky to live where I do, not far from the moors and equally not far from the sea, so walking is always in grand surroundings . Now built up to about 5 miles a day , feel shocking if I don't do at least 2 , best part is, its free :)

Hi all you keep fitters. I do this, www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4IH12Piuf4 early doors before I get ready for work. I'm hoping it's helping me :)

That looks like a good workout, @Deskdoll . The little dog in the film looks a bit peeved at having his sleep disturbed though.:D

I could try that, if I could break it into manageable chunks and hold on to a chair to steady me.

Needed to have an easy couple of days, yesterday and today. Just several 10 minute physio type exercises (stepping, arm raising, stretching and lunges). Not having the best of days with pain. Will try pool exercise tomorrow if I can get out.

I'm in:) Have recently rediscovered my Wii Fit. It's not connected up but I use the board to do a brisk 30 minutes of walking whilst watching TV:( I know this isn't the same thing as going for a nice country walk (which I also try to do) but figure that if I'm going to watch something I might as well be exercising at the same time. Have also been very busy in the garden - not sure this counts as exercise but all that soil shifting is certainly exercising some unusual muscles!
