Hi @barriebanana ,

First off. Would you prefer me to move your enqirory to a more appropriate section of the forum?
It maybe more productive regarding advice with your issue. (It's kind of hidden down here in general chat section.) :)

Secondly? I applaud you sir for broaching the subject..

OK what I do know, though I still "get".. Is my GP once asked (during a check up.) does "it" still get.. (Or more precisely, "how are thing performing down there. Cough.") Of course I replied it still does. "Only" he interjected, "we can give you stuff to help if it don't.."
I'm serious now. Go see your doctor..

In the interim....?
I also was brought up in a city with an established company in the South West that does a tasteful line in mail order "marital aids"..
You may have seen the adverts on mainstream UK TV? (Normaly involves a couple chatting about experimenting with "stuff".) Forum rules prevent me from promotion with direct links to advertising..

I wish you & yer wife well!

Kudos for asking about it: it's pretty common and I don't think there's anything to be embarrassed about on this site. It's important to be open about this sort of thing. I believe there's a lot the doctors can do nowadays too, so don't worry over much.

Can't really advise on this issue I'm afraid as between my partner and me it's never come up. Well not for some time anyway.

Your doctor may be able to prescribe something for it the only way to find out is to ask them

There are about 10 pages of threads that appear if you put erectile in the search box.

What are your HbA1c's like and do you take any meds?

Hi,
I'm prescribed Cialis. NHS can't afford many pills so I simply cope with what I'm given.
I was on Viagra but this caused weird coloured halos to my vision and truly horrible headaches - no such side effects with the Cialis but I hear from my Pharmacy that it's very expensive and not often prescribed.
My GP has been great. I'm not married but surely it's wise to speak to your partner; forget the male pride, forget the anguish or embarrassment - it's one well known side effect of type 1 so it needs to be accepted and talked about... don't suffer in silence as it might lead your partner to worry / stress that it's their fault / affair / you've gone off them...
it's manageable - it's okay...
Best of luck
