Morning blood tests for FBG

I believed after a fasting (sleep) period, wash hands and test.
I have advised some to test on waking to gain an insight into how the liver dump starts effecting our fbgs.

A shiftworker from the past used to test on waking. Whatever that time was. Just to compare on similiar shift days.

This has been an interesting thread. A lot of interesting debates about time to go to the DRs etc. So if it is to help measure progress then wouldn't the best answer be to be consistent?
