Hello there
I have all the classic symptoms and a few less classic as well as CHD.

If the test comes back negative like my urine, does that mean I am all clear?

Can you have the symptoms without the illness?
Is it possible to have the illness but it is not showing up in tests?

I have no one else to ask as no one in my family has Diabetes.

Welcome to the forum Rosenrot. Can I ask, is your username because of the Rammstein album? :D

Something might show up but they might decide not to tell you. Type 2 is generally a progressive disease and the rate of progression can vary dramatically. The point where "diabetes" is actually diagnosed is somewhat academic, "prediabetes" where your numbers are no longer normal but haven't reached the diagnostic threshold yet may continue for years during which damage is occurring. Because they think this progression is inevitable some doctors won't bother telling you - but actually you can slow down or stop the process through diet and exercise if you catch it early enough.

Hi rosenrot,

Stick around, even if the medics don't officially diagnose you, there's a lot you can do to make sure it stays that way!

All the best,
