Welcome
@butterfly145 sorry to hear about your little one. How are they doing? Hopefully starting to feel lots better on insulin?
First bit of advice - make best friends with your diabetic nurses - they should be available to give you tonnes of support with a newly diagnosed type 1 child.
JDRF do a kids sack for newly diagnosed children -
https://jdrf.org.uk/living-with-typ...eaflets/kidsac-pack-children-type-1-diabetes/ - have a little explore round their website for more stuff that might help you, family days etc.
Get yourself a copy of "think like a pancreas" - it's a great book as an introductory guide for things to be aware of when managing type 1.
If there's anything in particular you want advice on, ask your diabetic nurse first and also ask on the forum - lots of parents here who might have been through similar.
