does anyone finds after having a Pepsi max their sugars are less than if you were to have say a glass of water?

Not sure if there is any science to it but I was wondering if the sweeteners trick the body into producing insulin?

Thanks,
Ross

Possible, never really noticed it before tbh.

Yes I've seen articles suggesting exactly that, but again no science sorry. I'm quite sure in my own mind that drinking 2+ litres of diet coke for several years was one of the things which led me to become insulin resistant and eventually type 2.

That's a pretty interesting discovery. Never paid attention to this, but I'll experiment a little over the course of next week.

I've always had pepsi max, there's no sugar but the caffeine content is much higher than diet coke/pepsi almost as much as red bull, it could be the caffeine giving you that extra edge over still water. Then again tap water or still unflavoured water is horrible unless it has flavour or if it's carbonated.
