I have only just come across this thread and have not read it all yet. It is very interesting.

I have been on the Noakes Foundation website, where they are looking to consolidate anecdotal reports of the effect of LCHF diets.

http://www.thenoakesfoundation.org/contact-us If you press the link "participate in studies " at the bottom it takes you to a google forms link.

I have completed this myself, it is asking for all the relevant data that we all focus on here, so if anyone would like to contribute, they can find the link here

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/15u...edit_requested=true&fbzx=-3438774437199129356

Apologies if this is a repeat from earlier in the thread I haven't had chance to study it all yet.

Presumably the Noakes Foundation is hoping for a flood of anecdotal data concerning the benefits of LCHF, considering the rubbish that Panorama put out, maybe contributing to getting our data to his foundation would be a good time to do it it only takes about 10 minutes and is stuff we all have.

Just a suggestion - might be a good idea to make a new post in the Low Carb Diet forum requesting people fill out the survey and give the links - I think it may get lost in this old/long thread. Some people are likely to miss it buried here. Maybe with a "Help Prof Noakes" title or words to that effect?

@Administrator - is there a way to refer the people who've had success following the Low Carb Program to complete the Noakes Foundation survey?

According to my understanding of the tweets (I confess I am not so good with twitter) yesterday was not so easy for the Prof. He finished his evidence before lunch highlighting the powerful interests that are lined up against him. In the afternoon the cross examination started. I am actually finding it quite painful to read, such a fine man being challenged on such spurious grounds. However, I am sure that Prof Noakes is more than a match for the advocates, but it cannot be an easy process for him. Up to now, there is no update summary from Marika Sboros.

I was wrong about there being no more in the series. Here's Part 27 - the Obesigenic Environment:

The hearing re-started yesterday. if you do Twitter, Marika Sboros is tweeting minute by minute, and then at the end of the day she is writing a blog to summarise the day's events.

http://foodmed.net/

The first day seemed to go in Tim's favour, the HPCSA objected to Zoe Harcombe and Nina Teicholz as expert witnesses. They presented their case and took up half a day of precious time. The committee hearing the case ruled unanimously that Prof Tim could call these expert witnesses. Prof Tim has just finished presenting his evidence and the court has recessed for lunch. Tim'/ side suspect that the team presenting the evidence against him will stretch out his cross examination to 7 days, to prevent his witnesses being called. You couldn't make it up! We shall see.
For all of us fascinated by this trial, I'm going to post Marika's updates as I find them. Seems like Zoe Harcombe managed to give her evidence:

It would be fantastic to be in South Africa and be able to attend tonight's event. Hopefully Marika will give highlights of that too:

Thanks again, @Indy51 for posting these updates for us; still following this stuff very closely. I'll be even more fascinated to see how HPCSA try to get themselves out of the numerous holes they've dug

That was my precise thought when I read this story, you just couldn't make it up! The HPCSA must just be staggeringly incompetent!

I've seen this. Excellent!!

I really rate Prof Tim, he's certainly suffered and is currently suffering from his professional body for his convictions:)

Diagnosed 13/4/16: T2, no meds, HbA1c 53, FBG 12.6, Trigs 3.6, HDL .75, LDL 4.0, BP 169/95, 13st 8lbs, waist 34" (2012 - 17st 7lbs, w 42").

6/6/16: FBG AV 4.6, Trigs 1.5, HDL 2.0, LDL 3.0, BP 112/68, BPM 66, 11st 11lbs, waist 30".

Regime: 20g LCHF, run 1 mile daily, weekly fasting.
I can see some similarities with how Prof Tim Noakes is treated by the health professionals now and how Dr Robert Atkins was treated by health professionals back in the 1970's. Without getting into some serious 'conspiracy theories' go with the old saying: "just follow the money". I did read that the dietician who made the complaint against the Prof was a PAID consultant for the giant food company Kelloggs. Cereal companies won't profit from LCHF followers so it's best to destroy them and their credibility, so the masses can enjoy the wholesome goodness of breakfast cereals (sarcastic comment). :banghead:
