Regular appointments with diabetes care team

I won't bore you with all the details but I dislike pretty much my whole care team. I have had type one diabetes now for 8 years and I'm 17 and have great control. I'm learning how to drive and obviously dvla needs to hear from a doctor that you are able to drive. But I really don't want to go back to the care team are there any other options????

Presumably a GP is prescribing your insulin, test strips etc? You can list their name in DVLA form, and have medical with GP. However, as you're 17, you could probably get referred to adult diabetes team, who will be different to paediatric team. That might be a better long term solution.
