Hello I was diagnosed as T2 in Nov. In the last two weeks, I've had 3 readings above 9 but generally readings are in the range 4.3 to 9. Weekly averages are 6.3 and 6.4 over the last two weeks. Every few weeks, I getting getting painful red, sore areas, on my upper arms, forearms, thighs and today on the front of my left hand, which has caused noticeable swelling, in comparison to my right hand. The sore areas are quite itchy and feel like insects bites because unfortunately I do itch but I am confident that they are not. I'm wondering if 3 above range readings could cause this skin condition?

Could be an allergic reaction. You need to get it looked at by your doctor. No one here can diagnose.
