I just spent 5 hours straight - yes 5 :¬) and I cant find any of these for sale in the UK

"Bud Select 55" 1.8g carbs
"Miller Genuine Draft 64" 2.4g carbs
"Michelob Ultra" 2.6g carbs
"Busch Lite" 3.2g carbs
"Natural Light" 3.2g carbs
"Miller Lite" 3.2g carbs
"Modelo Light"

and practicaly all the ones listed in
http://lowcarbediem.com/atkins-low-carb-250-beer-comparison-chart/

apart from "coors lite" which spikes me terrible (UK special high carb version)

Asda used to sell miller and Michelob till something happened and nevermore...

Its as if the have them all banned for sale in UK or even import into UK
they want us drinking High Carb beers only <jokeish>

even amazon.co.uk has almost none of these for sale

ANYWAYS

if anyone can link me to a Low Carb beer shop I would be in your debt forever
But I don't think anyone could :¬) <challenge mode on>

You aren't missing anything. Those beers taste horrible. ;) We have several fantastic micro-breweries close by, but they are not carb friendly. I will miss an ice cold micro brew when it is 90+ degrees and humid.

I find a pint of guinness or a real ale slightly lowers my BG levels when drunk with food. Anything more than a pint raises them. Some books have guinness at 4g carbs, others 20g carbs!!!!

i noticed 'coors lite' [my a*se] didn't play the game like i thought it would, spiked me unexpectedly as it did you @madusmacus mechelob ultra was a good one but can't find it now either. If i even look at Guinness my bg rises, unfortunately, cos i love it. Not many of the supermarkets near me sell any good low carb ale now either, must be bad sellers. perhaps the only way now is homebrewing a low carb ale, i'm starting to convince myself here!!! Want a good LC beer... DIY!!! any good lc brewers on the forum???

I'm sure I've seen some of those listed at CostCo, but their website doesn't list many beers at all.

Try one or 2 and do 2hr test then test regularly incase a delayed spike. Experiment, it may be ok for you?

Try Skinny Brands Lager 2.97g carbs per 330ml bottle, now available at Tesco. No compromise on taste or strength. I like it!

All low-carb beers available here in the U.S. are just horse-**** as far as I'm concerned. I do love good beer, so for me it has changed from being a daily (and excessive) binge prior to my T2D diagnosis, to being something I enjoy once every few days, and only one pint. At those times I drink the best possible beer and do not worry about the carb count! Concerning alcohol in general, I have largely switched to wine.

Have a look in your bottle shops for Australian beers, as XXXX Gold is a low carb mid strength beer
