Hi! I'm Claire from Manchester, and have been using a Minimed Paradigm pump for the past 2.5 years (Been diabetic for 31 years, since the age of 2). I found your site by accident, looking for info on obtaining a continuous glucose monitoring device in the UK. I'm going to ring Minimed tomorrow and ask them outright if its possible to get my hands on one in the UK, as I've had some major life changes recently and could really do with getting a grip on my control. Having 2 children (one of which is registered blind) relying on me as a single parent, severe hypos in the middle of the night really aren't an option! I've got an appointment with my specialist in a months time and he is not going to be too impressed if my A1C hasn't come down a bit!! (Last reading was 8.2).

If there's anyone out there who is in a similar boat to me and wants to exchange stories, let me know.
