i had an ECG tuesday after seeing dr last week
she said my heart attack marker was fines as were all other bloods
called dr yesterday for ECG results and the nurse that called said it was fine so i questioned irregularities that i was told about at the hospital, she got up my notes and said they suspect MI so i asked what that was and she said heart attack and that she would get dr to call and discuss
i dont think it was heart attack as the tropinin (or what ever it is would have been raised)
i called drs late yesterday and asked if i was getting a call and there was no note of it so i explained what happened and i should be having a call today
anxiety has been through the roof and somehow ive pulled a dam muscle in my chest :( i know its a lulled muscle because it hurts when i move

Hi. I am sure you are totally stressed by all of this. I just wanted to say...not that I am wanting to underestimate or understate the significance of things here...just to give you some space for less stress...a nurse saying myocardial infarction is suspected is not quite the same thing as a doctor telling you that you actually have had one. If all the bloods you mentioned earlier were described as fine...including the troponin test...I suspect they are simply looking to eliminate certain things and/or maybe consider appropriate medication...and there appears to be no rush on setting up a follow up appointment. Still - I am far from being expert in such matters and you have to always err on the side of caution. I had tests years ago for a suspected MI (being rushed to hospital following severe chest pain, lack of breath, dizziness etc..and then BP to low for the para medic to detect. They found nothing. It had been an gone and let no detectable trace. A mystery - nothing since. Anyway, I hope you learn much more from the call when it comes..and are to some extent reassured. One thing though - be sure to mention the chest pain (muscle or not) to the doctor when he/she calls. Good luck. Keep us posted.

ive had many visits to A/e with chest pains and shortness of breath to be told all tests are fine and that its anxiety
ive even been there with a heart rate of 150, all tests ecg and x ray were fine, i was so dizzy sweating feeling sick they just sent me on my way so i had to try and sleep with a pounding heart
im seeing dr today to discuss results, she did say my tropinin was normal and my heart and lungs looked normal size
she also wants to discuss medication, not sure if its what im on or something else added to the list......ill just be glad when its all sorted, im also hoping she will refer me to see a heart specialist and at least then i might get some proper answers
my anxiety is through the dam roof lately
hopefully things go well today as im off out with daughter and boyfriend tonight to pictures then a meal and i dont see any point in going if im going to be in a panic all night :(

I hope it all eases off for you...at least enough to allow you to put it to the back of your mind (well...further back anyway).

No point worrying - which you know - I know it sounds a bit patronising to say but..someone once told me - if you're worried about something you can do nothing about, you need to recognise that worrying won't help anything but will add to stress...likewise, if you are worried about something you can do something about then stop worrying and start doing..either way, worry achieves nothing. It is all about state of mind. The best thing to aim at is being excited that you are going to find out what's going on. At least, just resign to having more info next week than you do now..worry then if you have to but I hope you get positive news. Watch some **** on TV ! Good luck.

i know what your saying but worry is my middle name lately, i guess its with family history of heart troubles being diabetic and a smoker (ive got gum and inhalor thing and just getting nowhere fast with it)
i spend my days crocheting and watching the walking dead for about the 5th time, on season 7 now so ready for season 8
im just finishing grandsons big stocking then i have 2 small ones to make so will be busy, i have many unfinished projects that need finishing, i made a rabbt 2 years ago that should be holding a blanket but hes still blanket less lol
ive now seen a connection with stress and pain as last night got really stressed and had a pain in my chest
i have a couple of diazepan but want them for emergencies
i have fluoxetine to start but need to wait until ive done my adrenal stress test which i will be doing after ive had hospital results

Wind it back @licklemoose . It will be what it will be and nothing you can do about it

We all hate being locked inside our own fears, no matter if they're irrational or not. Divorce the stress and the pain and listen to others' comments ... you need to but clearly you're a little consumed which hardly advances the cause.

I know...I know...but I am asking you to apply more reason is all to allow you to be more in control. Hopefully, results will be better than you anticipate. Look, you can't predict exactly what's going to happen, and what will be will be - worrying makes NO DIFFERENCE. All of which is entirely unlike the Walking Dead..where things are entirely predictable; some people will try to survive in some place while shooting lots of very slow zombies...every episode. By all means watch the walking dead but don't live like on of them ! ;) Feel free to knit me a nice Celtic scarf.

they did ecg

i went in with dr she took my family history

wrote down all my meds

mentioned im over weight so i jumped in and told her i was doing slimming world and lost almost 2 stone, think it stumped her but she said well done

ecg showed slight irregularities but she said they looked totally normal for a woman

im to give up smoking (im trying)

shes referred me for some scan with the dye to check everything, said probably 3 weeks or so

im to carry on with aspirin due to family history (my mum, her brother and her mum and my dad), weight and diabetes, i asked about omega 3 as ive seen conflicting info on it with aspirin and she said that its fine

she said when i was in a/e they wanted to keep me in

i also mentioned high cortisol and how it effected me last time, she listened but i think it went in one ear and out the other

I had a heart attack 4 years ago when I was 46, it was a strange day..... I was looking after my 6 week old Granddaughter Belle, sitting on a chair whilst gently rocking her in the pram. I turned to my hubby and said ‘my arm feels really strange’, his response was ‘well stop doing that’, as i was rocking her with my left arm. An hour later Belle had gone back to mummy, and I thought, grrrrr I have indigestion , it then dawned on me that I hadn’t eaten all day so how could I have indigestion..... Saturday, no Dr’s about so I called 111, they then sent paramedics, ECG had ‘bunny ears’ lol so they took me into hospital to be on the safe side.

2 hours later, I was told I’d had an MI, didn’t have a clue what that was, so was told it was a heart attack, Troponin was through the roof, yet I felt fine, I had a stent fitted the following day and was home by the fourth day.....

Moral is lol .... quit smoking now licklemouse while you still have a choice... I was made to stop and it made me so angry, it was my only vice and I was my own enemy :(

As for stress and anxiety I understand exactly what your going through, I’m not an ex anti smoking Hitler lol but Many smokers do not realise how cigarettes actually cause anxiety and stress. Have a little think on your reaction when you ‘need’ a smoke and tell me differe
