It was excessive thirst that we first noticed with our daughter but we were on holiday at time and blamed the heat. It was only after returning home and there was no change did we voice concerns with health team. Diagnosis was very quick, though we were a 4 hour drive away from hospital. She deteriorated very rapidly, I would suggest getting them checked soon if only for piece of mind!!
Our daughter was 16 months old at time of diagnosis.

I had the exact same thing with my daughter when she was little always thirsty she drank loads! I had her tested but nothing came up, she is now 13 and was diagnosed at 11 with type 1 so its probably worth getting her tested :)
