Hi, I've been on Trulicity for nearly six weeks now. The pharmacy hasn't had any problems getting it so far. The only side effect I've had is diarrhea for one day after the injection. I have a greatly reduced appetite and I've been getting much lower sugars so I have had to reduce my insulin. I'm still working out how much insulin I need now, so I have had a few hypos. No weight loss, though!

I’m on my second Trulicity this week after messing the first one up. All week I’ve had diarrhoea and feeling nauseous. Hardly any appetite at all except for the odd sweet!!! . Been on holiday so wasn’t sure if it was a bug but thinking it must have been the injection after reading similar posts here. Trouble is, do I continue with it or stop using it?. I inject Monday morning so little chance of seeing a Dr for ages.

I've been on Trulicity for a few months now. I started on the lower dose, which was upped to the higher dose 6 weeks ago.At first I had extreme diarrhoea for 24 hours after the injection and quite a lot of nausea. Now I don't get any diarrhoea until about 5 days after the injection and just have slightly loose bowels for the rest of the week. I have a little nausea in the mornings which goes when I eat something. The pluses are a greatly reduced appetite and lower sugars, meaning I've had to cut down on insulin. Weight loss is very slow but it is happening.
I would say that it is worth persisting with it for a few weeks, although I am aware that it doesn't suit everyone.

Hi. I have been on Trulicity for 26 weeks around 6 months and I don’t have any side effects and my sugars are so good, Doc wants to see if I can reduce strength or come off altogether!
No major diet changes so it obviously works.

I have been on trulicity for about 18 months and have never had a problem with it. When I saw the specialist diabetes nurse after a few months she was really pleased with my weight loss and lower bs. She said she'd seen another patient just before me who'd lost weight but had no change in bs. I really don't want to come off it as it does have an impact on my appetite

Have just had to come off trulicity 1.5 after 14 months .I'm also on insulin and whilst it worked for the lower dose caused too many problems . Have also tried Victosa but was same issues. Now being tried on insuman 25 so will see how that goes - twice a day ,a long and slow acting insulin. Before putting me on it the local diabetic nurse at the surgery had a conversation with the hospital nurse and the COST word was mentioned. I am getting concerned patients get cheap over appropriate.

Is anyone on Trulicity? I have just taken my first dose this week and spent the week feeling sick and having tummy ache as well being incredibly tired.

I am hoping it is temporary but my god I feel rubbish. Hoping for some positive experiences.
I've been on Trulicity and so far excellent. Xxx

Hello all, I am a newbie here. I am on week 3 of Trulicity and seems to be ok, did people get side effects straight away or is it to come? Bloods are down a little, looking forward to see how I am impacted over the coming months. Appetite is def impacted and have had a very dry mouth. Would like to hear from others on this drug.

Hi I started this thread just over a year ago. My weight dropped at first but is steady at around a stone lighter than before I started it.
I have no side effects whatsoever and blood glucose levels are now at pre diabetes levels. It’s worked wonders for me.

Hi all I was looking for people who had been on trulicity for a year or more and here you are! I've been on weekly injections for six months now, and for me the reduction in appetite was probably quite literally a life saver. The appetite reduction is less noticeable now, but my blood sugars are still very good, down to between 5 and 7 from 10+.

I suffer from binge eating disorder but it's seemed almost "cured" over these past six months. I have noticed my appetite increasing again, but not quite to the abnormal stage again yet.
