I wonder if this week is a quiet weight loss week. Although just realised it was my monthly week 2 weeks ago and friday's loss is probables from less water retention.
I cannot wait to tell my practice nurse, she's doing slimming world. She looks a healthy weight to me thou. Maybe she wants to lose for her up coming holiday. Most people (none diabetics) do.
I've had a lifetime of weight gain. Something had to change. Only trouble is...... I'm not sure why I'm losing.

I have managed to (finally) kill my CodeFree machine! This thing has been my constant companion since I was diagnosed. Sent off for a new one...now for a few days without testing. I am a bit geeky about my testing so its going to be a strange few days.

I am posting to inform you that I had a lovely weekend and today, Monday 27th March 2017 AD I cooked Jerk Chicken for me and my best friend Lee Collingwood and a considerably long time afterwards my blood glucose was 5.6 Millimoles Per Litre.

Also, I haven't smoked a hand-rolled cigarette for over 20 hours! I intend to ace my 11 Day Quit and believe I have the ability to do it.

A question:

On the FBG thread many people post their number at really early hours of the morning - I've done the same when I have had a disturbed night and got up early - but my main waking time is 6:45 so I like to compare like for like. If I get up really early my number has been lower but I assume that is because it is just earlier in the night.

Do we have a lot of people who just get up early or do people get up early to try to stem liver dump or what?

Hello, Hee hee good question. I get up at silly o'clock 3 days a week cos Andy's out the door early, because of this my body clock thinks the other 4 days should start early too.. I've asked this too, and some peeps are up early as sleep is difficult for them, others are caring for peeps who need attention throughout the night, and of course we have our international friends who post in the middle of our day.... I think the important thing about a fasting test is that it's done before we d any activity or take any meds. This gives a truer reflection of what the glucose levels are before the liver has a chance to dump glucose to give us the morning boost our body needs. Hope this helps, but I'm sure cleverer peeps have already answered, just catching up with posts.

I am posting to express my most fervent, sincere apologies for not logging on. I'm still awaiting my new Chromebook Laptop Computer, exercising impeccable patience, hence the Biblical Scripture in James Chapter 1 of the Holy Bible:- "Let Patience have her perfect work, that ye may be made perfect and entire wanting nothing." I meditate on this scripture day and night and also a passage of scripture, taken from the teachings and counsel of Jesus Christ:- "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you" and "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His Righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you."

These are my favourite Biblical Quotations.

My blood glucose has still been very excellent. I had a blood glucose reading of 5.6 Millimoles Per Litre yesterday with occasional spikes but soon controlled by hydration with tap water and my Lixisenatide Glucagon-Like Peptide Subcutaneous Injection for my Insulin-Resistant Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus.

Today, I've eaten 1 bowl of Honey-Nut Cornflakes with Semi Skimmed Milk for my breakfast at 8:55 Ante Meridian GMT and later on I had several Tomato Sandwiches at different times of today.

Thank you for all the trophies, www.diabetes.co.uk. It warms my heart that so many people love and care for me and, believe me, I have grown spiritually, mentally and physically since using the Type 2 Life Forum.

Bit pee'd off with my liver this morning - had a fast food chicken korma last night (my usual salad place had disappeared) - no rice and just ate the meat - it tasted sweet to me and my BG was up about 1.5 two hours after. Bet my liver was rubbing its hands with glee!

Live and learn but not a happy bunny this morning ... Especially as work means i won't get much chance to have a long walk today.

Discharged from hospital and my back is in agony. I was attached to heart monitors throughout. I'm thankful for the tramadol.
Specialist has increased Bisoprolol @Daphne917 to 5mg daily and given me disperse aspirin to take daily with lansoprazole to protect my tummy.
I had chest pain all late morning and afternoon yesterday til a&e sorted me out.
Oh and surprise, surprise I have a mild infection. What same infection which wasn't in my chest? X-ray showed no infection.
Oh I guess I need my gp to resolve that one. How do they treat an infection but not sure where it is?
I hope I haven't an infection in my pelvic bone. I will hit the roof.
Excellent bgs throughout.
Nurse was shocked how much insulin I take. I don't think they believed me til I took it and didn't experience a low.
Home now but nackered as no sleep properly. Next to a snorer and palpatations were just too extreme to ignore.

I'm getting fed up with this LCHF stuff. I was getting dressed this morning to go to a meeting and I could not find a pair of trousers to fit me .. or a belt that did not need an extra hole punched into it. I eventually found what seemed to be nearest to a half-decent fit .. but, en route, I saw my relection in a shop window and I was pretty gob-smacked to see what I can only describe as the sorry sack of spanners staring back at me ..
All part of the perks of T2 Life, I guess

Thanks @debrasue . I feel a lot happier now I've seen a cardiologist. I needed some answers.
Seeing my own cardiologist next friday and half my list has been covered this morning.
They are dead against naproxen for me. Tramadol til I'm snookered?
I'm still hoping I don't need an angiogram. Fingers crossed.

I can identify with this... When I had pneumonia I'd had an X-ray the week before and nothing had shown up on there, either. Makes you wonder why we bother subjecting ourselves to all these carcinogenic tests if they don't work...

Palpatations last night were horrific. Poor woman in bed next to me had them too. She was a lovely woman. Another woman in there too cried when we got discharged. I would have stayed with her if boys hadnt needed me.

I think it's human nature when we're at a low ebb and in a scary situation like hospital to reach out to others around us and form instant bonds. And then when people go home we feel bereft for a while. Having had a couple of longish-term stays in hospital, I know I've cried on many occasions when other patients were discharged, and I even cried when I was discharged and had to leave the nurses!!!
Have they decided why you're having the palpitations?
