0.4kg weight loss this week
I have to give advance warning that I’m not sure when I’ll next be able to post my weight again. I’m having surgery on my foot next Thursday and have to wear a surgical boot for 6-8 weeks whenever I’m standing. So it’s going to depend on me being able to balance on the scales with the boot on and then weighing the boot, to be able to subtract it from the result!

Started 115kg 9thMay’17
Today 87.6kg 8th Dec’17
Total lost = 27.4 kg/4stone 4lb

Good luck with the surgery and recovery <3

There is some redistribution going on. I bought new trousers a few weeks ago with a 34" waist (down from 40" at diagnosis last February) and they were a perfect fit, but they are now "hanging off me" and I have to wear a belt or they fall down! I probably should have waited another few months before buying new clothes:D!

Back in September I thought that I wouldn't lose much more and bought two nice new pairs of work pants - cant wear them now and I'm refusing to buy more before Christmas - so I'm down to 3 pairs of leggings and three short dresses for work that I can wash and rotate through.

Not sure if I'll lose come friday....so swollen. Not been out as much but still been out. Will go for a walk later to local garage/shop but will stop and sit on garden walls. Have found a cut down tree bark for one sit to regain less pain and breath. Oh its all fun and games, this time of year!
I honestly believe all GERD related. Even the chest pains.
I wish ambulance crew had access to blood test to check if people having heart attacks. And gp practises too. Just don't like hospitals. Well, out-patients aren't scary, for me. I've had too many appointments to get unnerved.
Well lets see what friday brings.

Anyone else struggling with swellings this time of year?

Staying at 118.60kg this morning. Very swollen thou. Up due to indigestion and forgot asthma meds before bed. Been up 2hrs and hoping to return to bed asap. Very tired and have to go food shopping today. I need sleep first.
Very happy with weight loss this week. Hoping for a steady weigh-in or a loss next week. ;)
Mid week weigh-in is seeing me as 118.90kgs so a tiny rise from friday but....it is Christmas and treats have been around a few weeks now. Seeing dietican week come thursday, the 21st december, If I remember rightly.
This is first November I haven't added weight, for decades.
Hope this is first December too.....I'll be lucky. Mind u I normally add 2st over Christmas. I know that won't be happening this year, nor next and hopefully never again!
Out for our Christmas Party tonight with family. We all cannot wait. Christmas jumpers are pressed and ready. :) :) :)

omg! Totally stuffed like a Christmas turkey. The portion sizes were out of my league. Huge!
I just cannot eat that much food anymore.
Well at least a swollen tum due to it being full rather than water retention. Lots of diet coke thou as it was very very hot in there. Water too.
I wonder what friday's weight will be?!

I thought I’d put a post on on a Wednesday! Not being rebellious, just posting before my foot op tomorrow. As I said last Friday I’m not sure when I’ll next be able to balance on my scales.
Not looking forward to my blood sugars with stress of op plus I’m getting a steroid injection in my other foot :arghh:
Anyway here’s my stats, amazingly I’ve lost 0.6kg since Friday! :)

Started 115kg 9thMay’17
Today 87.0kg 13th Dec’17
Total lost = 28 kg/4stone 5lb

My edema is back, so kinda concerned about that . It is hard to know whether you're dealing with a massive weight gain or not. Sonow I am weighing daily, and if there is edema, weighing morning, noon and bedtime. Scary eyesight problems too, instant retinolpathy, macular leak and it is hard to trust a retina specialist who can't make eye contact with me

too much typing half blind
Thinking of you @Contralto ! :)

You may get a surprise. Try and go with the flow. Just keep testing but just remember your body will get stressed due to op. Nothing you can do to counteract that but rest then when able move as much as suppose to. Take hospital advice on that. Diabetes has to wait til your able. Test and watch out for a carb craving. Make low carb nibbles handy. Don't buy carbs nor ask anyone else too.

Oh no, Rrachox - I was just about to wish you good luck!

This could be helpful to you, just for information purposes: https://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/appointment-booking/Pages/nhs-waiting-times.aspx
Thanks for the link. My first appt for this op with the orthopaedic consultant was in June so they have already breached the 18 weeks with tomorrow’s date. 18 weeks was end of Oct. The trouble is I’ve used this hospital for over ten years, this is the first big upset I’ve had with them and I trust them. I was a nurse in the NHS until Aug 2016 so I can see it from both sides, if they don’t have an empty bed they can’t create one :grumpy:

Added 2lb this week which is good as I've been for my Christmas dinner party and treats are all over the house.
Very very swollen and constipated. That's what happens with a change in my diet, I guess. Although even on strict low carb I get it.
I have Christmas nibbles for Christmas day and I will pass on large meal. I just cannot eat a full plate anymore. Not long now.
I'm excited about the kids expectations from Santa.
I love Christmas. ♡♥♡
I'm not upset by the 2lb add, it could be a lot worse. Ribs are aching due to very tight swollen tum. I look 9mths pregnant.
I guess with no swelling I'd have lost weight.
Ps. Many ask bariatric surgeon for a flat tummy. I'd just like a none swollen one.

Hi all.

Another week of maintaining for me. Have really been struggling with more hunger so my planned one meal a day days are rarely happening. However, this does mean that I have inadvertently found a good combination of eating that will allow me to maintain my weight once I’m done losing (but protein levels will need to be tweaked as BG slightly up).

Rachel, thatis an amazing weight loss. It took me three years to just lose 19 kilos
But you were taking weight adding meds throughout?
19kgs off whilst needing other meds with side affects is very very difficult to do.
I know and understand.
We are what we are!
Strong. ;)
Keep going @Contralto .
If we are heading in the right direction, we cannot miss the finish post.

It's funny but I've took heart from mine too. Some really really stuggle with maintenance.
I'm much happier too.
Well done @Goonergal . :)
