@Weird Science Off topic: That's a lovely font on that recipe.

My kids got Dominos delivered today to celebrate end of school year/good uni results. My head didn't want any, but I wasn't half drooling at the smell of it :arghh:

Breakfast: cheesy omelette

Lunch: Greek yogurt, strawberries and blueberries. Creamy decaf.

Dinner: onion bhajis and pakora sauce. Had to quickly make something stodgy and spicy to distract me from the pizza in the house :hungover:

Av - so proud of you not having the pizza! I wish I could say I was good today but after my gtt and consuming 75g sugar in one hit, I decided to have a carb day. It's given me a headache and tomorrow I am starting hardcore induction phase of Atkins. I will stay on it til my apparent metabolic disorder starts correcting itself :)

Ooh courgette spaghetti! Good you enjoyed it. Full of vitamins and fibre unlike boring old blah pasta :D

It gave me a headache and I nearly missed the nurse calling me for second test as I was almost asleep!!

Brunch
Fried breakfast at caff: bacon, onions, mushrooms, black pud.

Dinner
Pub fish n chips at someone's party.
About 2/3 a large battered cod
Less than 2 chips
No birthday cake. None. Honestly.

Supper
I'm still hungry. I've got my eye on the sausages and coleslaw.

A Daim bar. Somehow justified because I'm fed up and cheesed off and grumpy? Silly Spiker.

Ah well tomorrow is a better day.

What are durian crisps like? I had never heard of durian until the other day when someone on here said it was smelly.

I handed them round at work. Reactions varied. Everyone happily accepted a second crisp (to my dismay!). Someone described them as nutty. Someone else said they were like 'vegetable crisps'.

Me, I think they spike me less than potato. I find them lovely and crunchy, mild, and almost-sweet, but lovely with the hit of salt.

I would love to eat fresh durian. One day...

The only place I've found them was on eBay - they were sent from Malaysia!!!
Expensive, but as an annual treat, I consider it acceptable... :hungry:
LOL I am on amazon now and can see they are not easy or cheap to get hold of. I will have them one day. Might have to ask Santa for them! I like trying new things :D

Most Asian supermarkets usually have them, I'm due at one on Saturday and I'll see if they have, if not I'll ask him how much to get one for reference.
Off to Thailand in July where I know it's definetely cheaper, I would offer to bring one back in my carry on but I'm sure the other passengers would moan about the pong!! :)

I dread payday as the first Saturday is always straight to this shop where the wife spends a small fortune on food, it's got to be the import costs because all this stuff is literally pennies in Thailand. Enjoy your food!!
