Why Libre sensors are often inaccurate - my theory

On my second sensor only........

First one, I inserted late in evening, when BG low, would not activate at all for nearly 24 hours, then consistently measured 0.5 below BG.

Second one, i inserted when BG was high (for me) at about 9.0............has been in for 3 days, and always measuring 0.5 - 2.3 above my BG readings. i am confident my BG meter is very accurate.

Could it be that the libre sensor is sensitised by the initial glucose environment it finds itself in??

For the next one, I am planning to insert it when I know my BG is about 6.0 and likely to stay there for a while.

I found that my Libre is good for telling me where my blood sugar is heading and the changes, but not so much fully accurate BG readings. Kinda like someone drawing you a map - it gets you were you want to go but doesn't tell you exactly how many metres the walk will be.
