A new report by market research firm Frost and Sullivan has found that South Korea will be a major hotspot for diabetes diagnostics in the near future.
Frost and Sullivan provide total market analysis of the regio, which is reeling from a fast-emerging diabetic population. Using market engineering measurements, revenue forecasts, market revenues, trends in new technology and user analysis, the firm found huge potential in this market.
The news indicates how large diabetes populations, and in response diabetes business, have become. South Korea, a country facing higher annual incidence of diabetes, and the requirement for more diagnostic tests for diabetes, has already been earmarked by diabetes businesses .
One analyst of the study said: “South Korea has such high rates of diabetes that almost 43.0 percent of the South Korean population is diagnosed with diabetes. However, approximately 2.28 million remains undiagnosed, reflecting the future long-term potential of this market.”
