Despite recent research claiming as much, taking low doses of aspiring might not actually prevent diabetes patients from experiencing heart related problems. The study, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association question the use of aspirin in diabetic people with no history of heart disease .
For those diabetics with heart disease, aspiring is further concerned as a useful preventative medication . The researchers claim that aspiring is not one-size fits all, instead reportedly recommending: "the decision to prescribe aspirin should be made on an individual patient basis."
However, at this stage there are no definite conclusion regarding aspirins. Of two recent studies, one in Japan and one in Scotland, mixed results were show. The final analysis, according to experts involved in the study, is that aspirin should at this stage only be prescribed to patients with established symptomatic cardiovascular disease .
