Leading health charities have combined forces to launch a huge press campaign to support the Change4Life initiative launched by the government earlier this year.
Charity establishments including Diabetes UK, Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation have united to launch a series of adverts. The ads will run in weekly magazines including Heat, Closer, OK and Hello! Magazine, and also in Television listing magazines such as What’s on TV.
The advertising campaign will run for a four week period, and target parents with young children. The aim of the campaign is to raise awareness about the link between obesity and heart disease, type 2 diabetes and cancer.
Parents will be persuaded to give their children a healthy, well-balanced diet and become more active.
