Fri, 09 Jan 2009
One of the largest voluntary health organisations fighting against diabetes, the American Diabetes Association faced considerable challenges and made much headway during 2008. A recent diabetes news article pointed out the ground made by the ADA last year.

The ADA provided $42.5 million in funding research aimed at combating type 1 and type 2 diabetes amongst people of all ages and races. This type of research is directly intended to help people affected by diabetes . The ADA also made significant legislative victories in America.

One of the major aims of the ADA is to make health reform a priority under Obama, something they may achieve. The ADA also aims to support the millions of diabetics throughout America. The eventual goal of the charity is to cure diabetes .
