Leading American diabetes charity, the American Diabetes Association, is urging all people in America to learn about type 2 diabetes and whether they are developing the condition. The American Diabetes Association have set up an online video to better explain diabetes symptoms .
Diabetes is a vast and growing problem in America, with some 24 million children and adults in the United States suffering from the condition. Millions of people do not know that they have the condition. If diabetes is not diagnosed at an early stage, the risk of diabetes complications can soar.
The ADA have partnered with Liberty Medical Supply, a subsidiary of Medco Health Solutions. Laizer Kornwasser, a top executive for the firms, reportedly commented: "As the provider of diabetes supplies to more than one million Americans, Liberty Medical is keenly aware of the need to educate the public about diabetes, in the hope many Americans can prevent complications and get treatment if necessary to avoid the terrible consequences of this disease. Liberty Medical has a long tradition of supporting the American Diabetes Association's mission to further diabetes awareness and education. We encourage others to share the new video on the Internet to spread the word about diabetes and support the Alert Day campaign."
