A new eye vitamin product has been developed in the United States that could help people suffering from diabetes, and which is claimed to be a comprehensive, scientifically formulated ocular vitamin that can benefit patients with diabetic retinopathy.
The eye vitamin – named Diabetic Vision Formula – is produced by EyeScience Labs, a company that specialises in formulae for eye treatments and ocular nutrition. It was developed to help diabetics protect themselves against possible vision problems linked to diabetic retinopathy, a condition that can lead to blindness as well as resulting in cataracts in patients with diabetes.
Jeff Northup, president and chief executive of EyeScience Labs, which also makes EyeScience Macular Health Formula and EyeScience Dry Eye Formula, commented “The Diabetic Vision Formula was formulated to help target the oxidative stress that can negatively impact the blood vessel system in the eyes for people that live with diabetes.”
He also said that “Our Diabetic Vision Formula contains safe, clinically-proven ingredients, which include 11 different nutrients such as: Vitamin B-6, Omega-3, Niaci, Lutei, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Cinnamon Bark, Bilberry, and Grapeseed Extract. Together, these powerful carotenoid antioxidants and other essential nutritional ingredients can help support healthy ocular blood vessels.”
